Kips Bay

i Just changed my internship to kips bay and im kind of happy because i dont have to go back to Soundveiw daycare ever again. But i will miss the kids at the place a little bit and i also wont have to be in red zone or try and get in red zone ever again.

what i learned that i can do more then what i know. im most pround that i worked with people i didnt know because i dont work with people i dont know. i can used these skills because it can help me in school

my menjtor help's me in my internship because when i need something i want to know i go to him and tell him and he would show me how to do it and show me how it works. i help my mentor by faxing papers and helping in the class room

The greatest strength as a intern in my internship site is getting my friends yelled at when they dont do what they suppose to and i have more trusted then i did before from a old sutdent and now a intern. my weakness is the fact that my friends always w2ant to talk to me while im in my internship trying to work and there school and i dont want to get yelled at for talking to them. and i dont want them to get yelled at for being in the hallway. what i wished that i done better is when i almosted lost my internship for acting disrespect at my internship.

i would recommend this site to other people because even if they work you hard you get something out of it and its new knowledge of thigs you didnt know.the suggestions i had at my internship was the fact that it was my old school and i was still friends with some of the sudents that are in the school so i had to stop acting like i was an 8th graded again and act like i intern there.

today at my internship i was answering the phone for ms.T because she was working on something else and then i had to call a company for mr.litt about some books he wanted that was on back oder.What I observed today was that it takes time to get thingss you need for a school and that you have a school credit card.

The skills i have learned from my experience is how to work with people and work in a office with like faxing papers to people and helping kids out with things they dont know. This would help me in the future because i maybe would have to fax papers to my job a day that im out or something or have to work with some one in my job.

DayCare

We always do the samething everyday in the daycare but this time santa came and gave them presents for christmas and they was very excited to see him. Some kids was scared but they wasnt scared after they got there gift and unraped it.

What we did today is usual. Today is Friday. So its basically fun day and they have a lot of free time and have an awesome time. I explained it to you before but at the end of the day its different because its before Christmas break and we are having a Christmas party.!!!!!! YAY!! So i brought in cups, plastic plates, forks,spoons,and napkins. The teachers bought in chips,cake,and ice cream. It was a blast and the kids had an amazing time.

I admire the teacher Ms.Frias. She is very nice, funny, and even though sometimes the kids don't listen and may give her some had times she still cares for them and knows how to act in certain situations. She was the first person to welcome me in the school and i really appreciate it.

Honestly i don't think that there's any problems at my internship. I say that because at my internship, every has respect for new comers and the kids are very funny and sweet. I love it there. And it really helps for future causes.

The special qualities i need for my internship is makeing my self better to fit in and work with what i have and got. i can see myself working at my internship in 10-20 years because its a easy place to work at and i like working with people.

I Think The Education i need to maybe get a job at m,y internship if i wanted one would be what i was doing now would be like 6 years in college getting a normal education(math ,ela,etc) . if someone was to want to be interested in my intership i would tell them that they have to know how to work and talk to someone andunderstand them and dont mess up.

i havent really done anything this week that made me proud because it was the same as last week i didnt get anything new to do. What i enjoy at my internship tho is working with the kids and helping out.

what i did today in my intership was stay in Mr.wards room and act like in was a kid in the school and run around a thro0w papers and be loud as was asked of me so i can show the kids how it feels to be them when they not suppose to whenh they takeing a test. Ik didnt really observed anything at my internship today.

The successs that i got out of my internship is working with people and helping people out when they need help with something. it means alot to mean because i am friendly and helping people out and tsalking to them and putting a smile on there face makes me happy because i hate seeing people mad or not knopwing wjhat they doing.

At my internship what i did was help the kids make a card for a girl who had caner on her body and was going to pass away so i helped them make a pick colors and write nice things to her because its comeing out there heartand its caring i had also made a card fpr her as while to show them that i care to.

i admire Mr.ward at my internship because the way he helps the kids withthere work is fun and they joke while they are lreaning something with him and i just admire him because i feel like kjids should have fun while working with the person thats helping them.

A Challenging experiecnce i had to face and over come at my intership was wacthing the winter show that the kids did in my internship because i had been up there once before and i was singing with them and Mr.m who had passed away who used to help do the show wasnt there i would have never seen a show done with out him till that day.

What i did this week that made me feel proud was show my friend kay something he didnt know in math that i had observed in school. what i enjoy in my inernship is seeing all the faces i did when i used to go to the school with them and helping them when they need help with something.

What i did today was work into the office and pick up the phone as i did when i first started my internship. i observed how when you told to do something from your boss it means he wants in done when your told and no later then he told you.

my mentor treat me as if i really work she treats me with respect as i should treat her with and others in my internship. the people at my internship are all my friends i go to the movies with them and all that buit when im at my internship im there to work so i act like im older and tell them what to do they really dont like it but they got used to it the more they see me and hear me telling people what to do.

experience reflection

The Projects i can used or do to make my internship better is maybe to a paper and look into how to work better with people like when they not ibn the mood or when they feeling dnow and how i can help them feel better by talking to them and helping them do there work at the same time.
i think the academic i can earn from this project would be ELA. because i am doing a paper about it and reading and looking into it as if i was doing a paper about a person or something.
The way my crew leader can help me do this is by my crew leader looking into it with me so we can both look and see new things togetter

My responsibilities from when i first got to my internship has changed in a big one i use to work in the office picking up phone's and faxing paper's and now i work in class rooms helping kids with work that they did or that they missed.
i havent really been giveing more responsibilities because i choose what i want to do in my internship so like i dont really feel like they putting to much work on me or anything cause i feel like i can help in a way that i get something out of it to

Experience relection

What i did today at my internship was help the 7th grade with one of there math test that they have tooken the day before i went to my internship most of them didnt need help going over the ones that thery got wrong but i helped them look over it anyway.
what i had observed today is that the people that look like they dont need help are the one's that need the most casue they maybe not paying mind to what they do in the class room's.

What made me proud this week at my internship was when started asking for my help more than the other teachers. They like that I'm fun but at the same time strict. I enjoy everything there, especially working with the kid's.

Well today is Friday so it's fun day, and the kids get to do a lot of fun activities. Friday is participate day (that's what i call it) and i call it that because everyone has to participate in every activity. We bring them in and they eat and take off there things and etc. Then we start with gym and the kids just have free time for 2 periods. Then we have music which is third period, And they learn new songs . Then its 4Th period and they have Spanish and learn the colors of the rainbow and if they all succeed they can move on to the numbers. Then we go to lunch. After lunch is 6Th period and they have library and can have free time for 2 periods.Then last period they come back and learn something about different cultures. So for example they are learning about Kenya. That's just a typical on Friday.

Everyone there makes me feel very welcome and at home. Their very nice and they teat like how they'd want to be treated if they were a freshman in high school working at another school with kid's and very shy but smart. Everyone there is very kind and sweet to me. I appreciate it very much, because you cant really find that love everywhere you go.

They haven't yet given me internship project and i don't want anything to change because its just perfect. I earn credits for showing up and helping a lot and basically everything i do is observed to see how many credits i have at the end of the semester. If there was a project that was given to me i wouldn't need help because i have all the information i need.

journal 9

My responsibilities have changed a lot because i learned to be more mature and to care a lot for peoples feelings. Not to fall for the lies and the trouble to be ahead of that and move on and not care what people say about me . I feel like I've grown a lot. I have been given more responsibilities and i can handle everything thrown at my way.

journal 8

Well today i came in at 8:30 and helped the kids take off there things and place them in the coat racket. Then we let the kids eat breakfast if they bought it if they didn't i would take them down stairs to get breakfast then we would let them eat and digest there foods. It really depends what day it is because everyday the schedule changes up. So for example if it wasTuesday the first thing that they would do is read silently for a least about 30 minutes. I would help them pick a book on what level they are on then if they needed help i would help them. After that they would do math and if there a lesson on multiplication triangles then they would help them cut it out and learn multiplication. We would do that for 2 periods. Then they would have some Free time do do whatever , some kids would go on computers and some kids will play with blocks or anything educational.Then we go to lunch. After lunch we go to library and help them learn typing early or have a look at how it takes time to learn typing really fast. Then it would be 7Th period it would be art and they would be creative and make something nice or do whatever there teachers say. 8Th period is just relaxing so maybe they can watch videos or movies or if there's a holiday then we celebrate and bring chips and stuff And then we go down stairs and we walk them to the bus then we go home and i come back on Friday.

Journal 7

Some advantages are, getting an early start on working with kids if i want to be a pediatrician. It helps me learn more and get to start on working with the kids and helping them more so, by the time I'm in college i will know a little bit more than everyone else because i went to an internship and worked with kids for 4 years then sometimes people get jobs at there internships if there good and I'm good so i can have 2 jobs. One job as a teacher and another as a pediatrician and it will really help me in the future. I don't honestly that there is any disadvantages in working with kids.
